A healthcare technology startup created a comprehensive mobile application for self-assessment, chronic disease management, communication with doctors, and monitoring. The goal of the app was to enhance health management by making it simpler and more accessible.

In order to facilitate quick access to care and offer the greatest benefits to users, the client recognized the need to create a risk calculator that was fully integrated. This feature would enable users to self-assess their risk of developing chronic diseases and guide them towards the appropriate preventative measures.

The Challenge

The client was having trouble finding skilled professionals who could produce exceptional work in a short period of time. The project demanded completion within a few months, and the resulting product had to possess a high level of interactivity while remaining user-friendly.

Solution

Our team created a calculator compatible with both Android and iOS native applications, using Java for Android and Swift for iOS, with the backend development in MongoDB and a REST API. We then proceeded with tests of the integration and the dynamic UI and saved the consistent look and feel of the app, successfully completing all these steps within a timeframe of fewer than four months. This was necessary in order to meet the client's deadline for the product's introduction to the market.

Results

Today, the mobile application has been downloaded by more than two million users on both iOS and Android platforms. As a result, these individuals have been linked with healthcare professionals and encouraged to take responsibility for their own wellbeing. Additionally, medical professionals have access to user-generated data, allowing them to offer more precise and beneficial suggestions and treatment.
