The work we’ve been up to: October 2025
Every quarter, our CEO, Hristo Georgiev, drops a note that captures what’s moving at Resolute. Think of it as the headline reel: quick updates, bold milestones, and what’s next on the horizon. This blog is where we take those headlines and provide you with the full story - context, details, and why it matters.

Turning pilots into progress: Introducing AI Jumpstart
The AI hype cycle is loud, but the results? Not so much. Most AI pilots stall before they ship. In fact, 95% never deliver business value.
That’s where AI Jumpstart comes in.
This new service is Resolute’s answer to the AI pilot problem: a timeboxed, domain-aware GenAI assistant delivered in just 4 to 6 weeks. It’s not a concept or a slide deck; it’s a working AI assistant, integrated within your workflows, built on your data, and fully under your control.
At its core is Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), which ensures that responses are grounded in your content, rather than hallucinated or scraped from the web.
Most importantly, AI Jumpstart doesn’t stop at chat. It integrates directly with your systems via API, enabling real workflow actions: updating records, triggering processes, pulling reports. It’s functional, not just conversational.
This service is designed for teams under pressure to demonstrate AI ROI, for organizations operating in regulated industries, and for anyone tired of pilots that fail to turn into something real. It delivers results in weeks, not months, and gives you a usable AI tool, not a stalled experiment.
AI Jumpstart in action: Local-first GenAI for a tracking platform
One of the first real-world AI Jumpstart projects came from a global provider of airborne tracking systems. After working together on modernizing their platform infrastructure, the client approached us with a challenge: could GenAI help their team navigate thousands of pages of dense regulatory documentation?
We delivered a locally hosted RAG prototype, built entirely in .NET using Semantic Kernel. The assistant handled over 100 long-form documents and returned accurate, cited answers, all without relying on cloud APIs or exposing sensitive data.
The result was a practical, working tool that ran on modest infrastructure, integrated into existing workflows, and proved GenAI could add real value quickly. It wasn’t a concept; it was a solution. For this client, AI transformed from a future ambition into a functional asset.
Podcast spotlight: AI inside modern IT teams
In the latest episode of Modernization Accepted, we sat down with our partners at Progress to discuss where AI actually delivers value within IT organizations and where it falls short.
It was an open conversation about the realities of GenAI, including the risks, benefits, and areas where it can meaningfully support daily workflows. We covered everything from the differences between LLMs to the dangers of relying on fast but forgettable AI-generated content, and why the right implementation partner still matters.
If your team is experimenting with AI or incorporating it into your operations, this episode is a must-listen.
Partner spotlight: Talking modernization with Progress
In a recent interview, Resolute CTO Veli Pehlivanov joined Dan Beall, Senior Manager at Progress, for a conversation on how modernization is reshaping industries and what it really takes to do it right.
They discussed the importance of going beyond surface-level tech upgrades, the role partnerships play in solving deeply embedded challenges, and how organizations can accelerate transformation without introducing unnecessary risk.
The discussion is packed with grounded, forward-looking insights for teams trying to modernize without losing momentum.

Upcoming webinar: Modernizing legacy apps without slowing down
On October 14, Resolute and Progress will host a live webinar on modernizing complex business applications without compromising performance or user experience.
The session will showcase three enterprise projects where teams utilized Progress Kendo UI and ThemeBuilder to streamline design-to-code workflows, maintain cross-device consistency, and accelerate delivery with the aid of AI.
Borislav Kulov, Director of Software Engineering at Resolute, will demonstrate how tailored customization of Kendo components played a key role in adapting each solution to fit complex, real-world requirements.
You'll hear strategies for scaling design systems, preserving legacy functionality, and modernizing at speed without cutting corners. Registration is now OPEN.
Webinar recap: UX/UI as a catalyst for software modernization
In a recent webinar, "A Catalyst for Software Modernization: UX/UI Design," we joined forces with Progress to explore how thoughtful design can drive meaningful modernization efforts, particularly in legacy applications.
The session focused on the unique challenges of evolving Progress OpenEdge-based systems and shared strategies for transitioning from outdated user interfaces to modern, intuitive experiences.
Speakers from both companies shared real-world examples, discussed common UX pain points in older systems, and demonstrated how investing in design early can improve ROI, user satisfaction, and speed of delivery.

Designing for accessibility - beyond checkboxes
Accessibility isn’t a phase or a compliance exercise. It’s practice, and when done well, it improves the experience for everyone.
That was the guiding principle behind a recent project with a U.S.-based provider of online training tools for frontline workers. The client required a platform that was not only scalable and performant but also truly usable by a diverse audience, including individuals with visual, motor, and cognitive impairments.
Our team unified their fragmented design system using Progress ThemeBuilder and rebuilt the frontend with accessibility as a core requirement. From semantic HTML and ARIA roles to keyboard navigation and screen reader support, every layer was tested and refined, not just by automation, but by real people using real devices.
In the process, we helped the client align accessibility with performance, SEO, and long-term scalability. And just as importantly, we trained their internal teams to carry those practices forward.
A sharper view of on-demand design
We’ve refreshed our UX/UI Design Subscription to make it simpler, more impactful, and better aligned with how modern product teams actually work.
The service provides you with on-demand access to senior design experts, flexible plans that adapt to your pace, and ongoing collaboration to help experiences evolve continuously, not just at release time.
It’s a practical managed service solution for teams who need reliable design support without the overhead of full-time hires or scattered freelance help. Plans come with a flexible 30-day cancellation policy, so you can scale up or down as your needs change.
The CEO’s note might keep it brief, but behind every bullet there’s a bigger story. We’ll continue to tell those stories here because the work deserves more than a footnote.
